Our founders alone have a combined 44 years selling foreign exchange; to put it simply, we've seen all the angles! We love the push towards Fintech, simplifying delivery, and making competitive pricing a possibility for all companies.
We believe our common sense approach will give our clients a level of trust that, frankly, has been missing from this industry. Our goal is to earn your business, exceed your expectations, and offer pricing that you understand. We believe the PaymentEarth way builds trust, offering a partnership that truly serves the needs of your business.
Jeff Scanlon - President/CEO
After graduating from college in Connecticut, Jeff spent 9 months working as a sales rep for a German manufacturer of electronic enclosures before he loaded up his Jetta and set out for the West Coast! Living in Los Angeles, down to his last $100, and on the verge of contemplating a return to the East, he went on a job interview with Ruesch International, landed the job, and unknowingly began his career in foreign exchange. As a top producer in the Business Development Department, Jeff’s career at Ruesch would last eight years, include promotions to run the sales department for their Boston office, and ultimately serving as General Manager for the California region.
In 1998, with his first child on the way, he joined startup Commonwealth Foreign Exchange, as their second sales person. Once again, Jeff quickly grew his portfolio to the largest at the company, prompting the firm to open an office in Southern California. In addition to curating one of the firm’s largest client books, he was also instrumental in training, hiring, and developing new sales staff.
After 18 years with Commonwealth, it was time for Jeff to continue his entrepreneurial journey, deepening his focus on transparency and fair value at PaymentEarth. Beyond a true love for selling FX, Jeff also enjoys staying active. An avid scuba diver, he usually dives on a weekly basis in and around Southern California! He loves warm water scuba trips, though, in the midst of launching and growing PaymentEarth, he may be doing a whole lot less of them in the next few years!
Saygin Esener - Managing Partner
After earning a degree in Finance from Old Dominion University, and following an internship at Merrill Lynch, Saygin started working at American Express Financial Advisors, where he earned his Series 7 and Series 66.
Following an introduction to the world of Forex from a friend at Ruesch International, in Washington DC, Saygin became a top producer in the New Accounts Department.
In 2003, he joined Commonwealth Foreign Exchange, where he would spend 14 years as a top producer, eventually moving to a Managing Director role.
Saygin cofounded PaymentEarth on the belief that transparent pricing and top-level service are a necessity in a market-driven environment. In his spare time, he plays ice hockey and enjoys runs along the water in San Diego with his two dogs.
"There is a big move toward transparency in FX, but lots of the firms offering it, use a cookie cutter one rate fits all formula. With Paymentearth, they analysed my business and gave me a consistent rate far better than other services, and much more straight forward than my bank!"
- Charles, Owner, Boston, MA.
